So I made a discord, however it was mainly because I got banned from another one...twice but a lot of people followed me into mine because of it. It was basically like a mutiny. So since it's pretty much random chat these days, you are welcome to come in and join. Theres 60+ people in here at the moment! chat is always popping off.

Heres the link. Come meet me, others, troll, larp or anything else your heart desires.

I'll give you what you really desire.

If you are an artist reading this, your art is actually amazing. You probably feel that nagging self doubt feeling don't you? it eats away at you sometimes. Well guess what, FUCK THAT. "The first step to being good at something is to be shit at it first" every drawing you draw, is a stepping stone to greatness. You improved in micro amounts without even realising it. Even if you are not happy with it, there is a person out there that wishes they could draw what you just did. Not only that, but art is subjective, ever see piccasso? that shit looks crap to me man, but hey it sells for millions per painting.

If you are a programmer, your shitty code? who the fuck cares man. Thats the glue holding that game together. 99% of the world can't even write a single line of code, you are already UNIQUE. You have taken the step to learning something that makes the entire world of technology go round. Bugs in your code? who cares, man you are always improving, polishing and refining. That doubt can go die my friend, even if you just made the screen print "Hello World" you are already learning and that knowledge will stay in your brain for the rest of your life. 10,000 little steps will equal coding amazeballs. My codes rough, its not refined, it's messy but you know what. IT GOT THE JOB DONE BOY. So keep on coding my friend

if you make any type of music or sound, you are creating literally vibrations our ears interpret into creativity. Every beat, every sound, it all comes together. Doesn't matter if you made a 10 second FLstudio DJ Mix, the fact you even worked out that program makes you a god my friend. Music programs themself are as complicated as a woman with a DJ set strapped to her forehead. Music is VERY subjective. Even if someone says meh, another person will be like this is beautiful. Don't ever stop, keep on making it.

So yeah you, hey you. You trying to make things. You are a god among humans for bringing an idea in your head and literally transitioning that into reality.

Don't you ever forget it.

Want your Newgrounds to be all pictures of my beautiful face? of course you do right?!

look how beautiful that is. No more pesky art, just me, me, oh and me.

Simply right click and go inspect element > Click on Console and paste this code in and press enter and bam. A full upgrade. Simply change the link to any picture you want. But lets be honest, it's much better with me right?

Array.from(document.querySelectorAll('img')).forEach(img => img.src = 'https://scontent.fsyd7-1.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-1/p100x100/53224200_10156823767665853_5865182192384081920_n.jpg?_nc_cat=109&_nc_ht=scontent.fsyd7-1.fna&oh=86389eb004db25139a847ee8f00977ea&oe=5D9F609B');

Hopefully @tomfulp considers this for a re-design one day.

So I began working on a new game called Dopamine Eggs I will most likely be releasing a paid version to steam and a free version to newgrounds. It's going to be an idle game as you can tell. As someone going through depression and anxiety, I have been researching a lot over the years the medications I take and how the brain interacts with serotonin and dopamine. This leads to some bizarre inspiration for my game making.

Basically when you complete a task in a game or real, your brain releases dopamine. It's your reward for completing something you wanted too, this reinforces behaviour by you. That is why the brain releases dopamine when you eat, it makes you enjoy food and keep you alive.

Now game developers technically take advantage of this. When you get an upgrade in a game, you get a tiny bit of dopamine, it feels good like you accomplished something. This is why games can be so fun and addictive. Idle games however take this to the MAX. You are literally being told all you are doing is making a number go up. Think about RPG games, at the end of the day all you are doing is making numbers go up, with some pretty graphics to disguise it. But our brains still fucking love it don't they? our brains can't tell the difference between real progress and fake progress sometimes.

Anyways I disgress, the game is inspired by Cookie Clicker, but I wanted to get more advanced. This mysterious Egg has landed in the city, you will be harvesting it's dopamine. Over the course of the game, an advisor egg is going to teach you about depression and how you are being led to build these pointless upgrades. Not only do I want to make a fun game, I want to try throw in a few things that teach you about the brain while your doing them.

The game will start with simple upgrades, but end with you making complex choices on which mage spells are better, or combinations of upgrades etc.

The graphics have been done in Flash, but they are then imported into Unity. Which I will add a few special lighting effects.

Hope you's are looking forward to the game. Make sure to fan me to stay updated! :)

This old egg ain't dead yet.
